Affiliate Marketing- Marketers OR platform.

Hello Hackers.

Im looking for EITHER an affiliate marketer or a platform to manage them. I kind of hate the fact that a lot of the platforms out there to manage them charge a monthly price when we are starting out and won't have affiliates... So, looking for a platform that is either free, or pays per affiliate as they come in.

Also looking for places I can find marketers? TIA.

Hey Timothy, I sent you an email earlier seeking to connect and help you set up affiliate program. We can help you with setting up the program and also recruiting affiliates.

    Check us out, growthchat.co

We run PostAffiliatePro.com and we oftem postpone customer's accounts, because they either have projects on-hold or cannot find affiliates. I would recommend to start with gathering affiliates before implementing tracking solution. Or you have an option to go for a self-hosted solution, which will be obviously less pricy, but you have to manage it on your own (and those options are often very limited in terms of features)

Good advice. Can you share how do you gather your affiliates?

I have a very good tip. For most indie hackers it's very hard to get into top 10 in google search results, so put together a list of your main keywords you are going for and then map out those where you can get featured. Those are your best affiliates you can get because they are already occupying places you would like to be at.

Ask them if they are interested in joining your affiliate program. Some of them prefer just direct money, but most of them should agree if you commission and product is good enough. Feel free to use software like Visably, which is a beta tool that does exactly what you are looking for. But it's not that hard to do it yourself just by copying the best 10 results for each keyword to one sheet and reaching out to site owners.

The copy of the email is the second half of the success, but that's not the topic of this discussion.

We've been exploring a self-hosted solution, but haven't been able to find one yet. Primarily looking for an open-source one, but haven't had any luck.

Even if you will find one, prepare that there are tracking requests that might be quite expensive if your program will have solid interaction.

I saw that many companies code their own solution to reduce expenses.

Hey Tim, we do a lot of work with early stage startups with sorting out marketing talent.

Our platform is made up of freelancers that have been vetted and verified on their actual marketing data (Google and Facebook). Our goal is to match businesses to marketers who have a proven track record in your field / niche.

I can understand that budgets are tight, and that's no problem for us. We've got freelancers at a range of price points.

Take a look and let me know if you have any questions? www.traktion.ai

    Hey Timothy,

What do you think of a platform that connects your product to multiple distribution channels and sells your product besides other products that complement your product? (Kind of how wine sells chocolate and shampoo sells conditioner)
