Affordable app localization service
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for an affordable localization service for my iOS app.
It should be able to accept *.xliff files and allow me to participate in the translation process by myself as well as outsource localization process to external translators.
I've already checked smartling but from their website, it doesn't seem like an easy-to-start service. No mentions about their prices as well.
Then I checked lokalise.co which is way too expensive (USD40/month) for my occasional localization needs.

When translating by miself i do not use google translator anymore: i use https://www.deepl.com/translator which has a really better quality. They offer apis too

Would starting off using something like Google Translate work (https://translate.google.com/toolkit/list?hl=en#translations/active) and then as you build a user base in that Language asking your users for help to make the translations more accurate?
Google Translate is, of course, the first choice when localizing the app by yourself.
However, it's a pure manual solution and I need something that allows me to work with *.xliff files both when importing and exporting localizations.
Doing a quick Search there is a nodejs package or a webapp that will translate them via the API (so wonder if other packages are available) - https://www.npmjs.com/package/xlifftranslate or https://github.com/martinroob/tiny-translator (These are just some of the first results).
If you end up finding a solution would be interesting to see what you end up with :).
