Hi everyone,
I've been building websites and software since 2010, and over the past few years I've been focused on one project: ZenCalculators.
The idea was simple: instead of creating another website filled with generic articles, I wanted to build a resource where people could instantly solve real-world problems—finance, health, math, construction, engineering, business, and hundreds of other topics.
Today the site has over 2,000 calculators, all built from scratch with custom formulas and explanations.
Some things I've learned during the journey:
Creating the calculator is often the easy part.
Verifying formulas and edge cases takes much longer than writing code.
SEO for calculators has become increasingly competitive.
Small UX improvements (mobile experience, speed, and clear explanations) matter more than adding dozens of new tools.
I'm currently trying to grow the project and would really appreciate feedback from founders and builders.
A few questions:
What is your first impression of the homepage?
Does the site feel trustworthy?
If you landed on it from Google, would you use it again?
What would you improve first?

I'm not here to sell anything—I genuinely want constructive criticism from people who build products.
Thanks!
The interesting challenge with calculator platforms is that the formulas are only one part — trust and repeat usage are what make them valuable.
Curious what you’re focusing on next for growth: expanding calculator coverage, improving SEO visibility, or building reasons for users to return?
Thanks for comment, I am focused on building authority around each calculation.
Interesting. I'd like to understand how you're thinking about building that authority over time. What's the best email to reach you on?
you can reach me admin @ zencalculators . com
Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
