After 2 months, I got my first client for my agency.

To recap the last 2 to 6 months, I sold my business, SocialBurst (The Infrastructure), to a local company nearby; it was a marketing service/tool. It wasn't the greatest thing, but it was something people were interested in. I didn't have the resources to market it (funny enough).

After selling, I went back to the drawing board. I wanted to build something that people could actually use. I've always been interested in websites and how they work. I wanted to create something web-related, and the best thing I could think of was to build an agency.

I didn't want to create something that's been done, like what you see with DesignJoy or other design services. No, I wanted to create a unique offer.

I've been a huge fan of those "build a website in a week" offers or "rebrand your company in a week" type of deals. That's what I wanted my offer to be. I spent the next few months designing and developing my offer.

Design Sprints.

After I launched, I went looking for clients locally. I ended up signing a client just last week for $500 a month. This wasn't through my page, of course, but it's something, and I'm honestly excited to work with them long-term and with future clients.

I told myself when I started SocialBurst that I'm going to actually make money someday doing these silly projects of mine, and I guess that came true.
