After 30+ years in tech, I was laid off. So I reignited the "geek fire" and built my first SaaS in 30 days.

I took it as an opportunity to reignite the "geek fire" in me. I love automation, I love IT, I love digitalization. I've been trying to build an online business, with minimal success, since 2007.
Every single time I tried, one problem always stuck with me: the landing page. As a "want-to-be solopreneur," I'd stare at a blank page and not know where to start. I'm not talking about graphics or photos. I'm talking about the strategy:
Where does the call-to-action go?
How do I describe the features?
Do I state the problem? Is my copy too long?
I knew there had to be a better way than just guessing.
So, after spending time reading, learning, and finding the right tools, I went from that idea to this MVP in about a month.
The Result: ConvertPage
I'm launching ConvertPage ( https://convertpage.theshirlshirl.com ). It's an AI tool that guides you through a strategic framework and then writes and codes a complete HTML landing page for you. It's the automation I always wanted to solve my own "blank page" problem.
My Biggest Learning:
The modern tool stack is incredible. The fact that a solo person can build and launch a functional SaaS in a month is something that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. The barrier to entry has never been lower if you have the drive.
