IntellisyncAI is a SaaS that allows you to deploy chatbots powered by your own data sources.
And the waitlist is already online!
I've been following IH for almost two years now and I can't believe that finally "my time" has come. It's been 7 months since I started building side projects and 2 months since I started IntellisyncAI.
I knew that side projects can become quite consuming, so I started coding for 2 hours a day after work and I kept up with this pace for 5 months. I always build my side projects in the same monorepo, so I can share and reuse a lot of code. For example, my first 2 projects died after 3 weeks, but the design system components I used are the same ones I'm using in Intellisync.
I got fired in May, and I had enough money to survive for a few months, so I decided to take a leap of faith and finally try to build something concrete. I’ve been coding for almost 10 hours a day and I can’t really put on my words how happy I was. I’m still not making any money, but it felt amazing to build a thing for myself.
Now I'm launching my waitlist, and the beta will probably start in August.
I can't thank IH enough for all the motivation this community has given me, and I'm super proud of myself, especially because I'm a self-taught developer.
I suggest that you can ship faster to get user feedback!
Congrats, but don't forget, the most important is to "sell" your solution,
building it is just the first step.
We build solutions to other peoples problems, that's how we get paid.
And whatever you do, never ever give up, if you fall, learn all you can from that,
then get back up and keep moving forward !!
Good luck!!
Congratulations! I am moved by your story. I also quite the job and am developing my SaaS product. I hope you get a good start!
Hey, really clean landing page! I'm in the process of deciding on which platform to launch my idea, where did you make your LP?
Hey, thank you for your feedback.
I bought TailwindUI, it was one the best things I ever bought, you have tons of content with lifetime access.
Awesome! I'm currently in the process of narrowing my focus to a single idea to get started on. One of my major issues or possibly a subconscious avoidance strategy I'm facing is where to start and what technologies/languages to use.
Can you give some advice on how you got started with your project?
Did you begin with a project road map or did you just start building it?
How did you decide which technologies/languages to use?
I've already wanted to build a side-project and I knew that some indie-hackers takes 5 or 6 attempts before earning any money, so I decided to start building whatever I want, because statistically, it would fail.
I had one strategy in mind, I built a monorepo and every piece of code I make, I try to made it as reusable as possible, this way, I can make my next projects faster. So for example, I have my own design system that is used by IntellisyncAI and will be used by my next pprojects as well. This way, I can maintain the code of multiple things at the same time, and I never 'lost work'.
About your roadmap question. No I didn't, but I will definitely use one next time, it makes things easier.
And about the technologies, I used what I most confortable with.
Congrats man, I know exactly how you feel. Let's keep going.
Congratulations!!
Glad to see another AI project on the way!
But did you find customers before you started building your product? I'm curious to understand your development process and do you know if people need it ?
Actually no. To be honest, I'm not even sure if I will earn any money from this.
This was my very first side-project to get into production. My only focus was "I want to build something". And now that I did it, I feel it will be easier to create other things.
Congratulations, Augusto Oliveira! It's inspiring to see your journey from side projects to launching your own SaaS, IntellisyncAI. Your dedication, consistent coding, and leap of faith have paid off. Best of luck with your waitlist launch and upcoming beta. The IH community is proud of your achievements and grateful for the motivation you bring. Keep up the great work as a self-taught developer!
Congratulations, Keep it up.
Great! Glad to see another product based on AI to help more people to have their own chatbot. May you share more story behind the product such as your hard time or your tech stack used in your product?
Good luck!
Wow! 7 months on a project. That's quite the stamina
Actually, in this project I spent 2 1/2 months.
But I've been trying to create something for 7 months.
Congratulations!
Amen brother!
Hello! I have few question related to your launch.
1 - It is almost ready, my goal is to open the beta version at early August.
2 - No. I've always wanted to build a side-project and this one looked fun. It eventually started to become too big and I decided to take it to a more serious approach. I know it is not the recommended way, but it is actually my very first try.
3 - Not really, but there are thousands of similar applications launching every week, so I decided to give it a try.
4 - Right now I have 36 emails on the list.
5 - I'm not sure yet, I just did some posts on reddit and this one here.
