After a year of growth my MRR is currently flat!

Behold my latest MRR growth chart for February:

Ouch! After a year of consistent growth I've hit an odd slow patch. No changes on the product side, no pricing increase, no new / confusing design - just a sudden drop in February new business and a little more churn than usual = flat MRR.

But! all is not lost. I have, after all been here before:

Have I entered the Long Slow SaaS Ramp of Death?

That was posted in early August last year, and as you can see from the above chart, August (and the subsequent months) worked out just fine.

This is just your bi-annual friendly indiehacker reminder that growth isn't a straight line up and to the right. Sometimes it will slow, sometimes it will accelerate. Hopefully though if you are creating value for customers, once you zoom out the periods of flat growth will hardly be noticeable.

Onward to the bigger picture!

    Hi,

I have a question about Enterprise plans if you don't mind. Do you have any enterprise customers that signed up for it directly? If so is the on-boarding same for them as the rest?

I see almost every 3rd site has like a 10x enterprise plan but I've always wondered the % of business that comes for that.

Well, first of all you had an amazing year so I wouldn’t worry too much! But I’d still try to understand why growth has slowed down. Less traffic or worse conversion rate?

It's just painting a bull flag, a continuation pattern!

RSI is overbought for now, but it's still above EMA so you're good.

$11k MRR in less than a year tho! Very inspiring thank you for sharing.

    Could be a seasonality thing?

    Hey,

thanks for your insight. I wonder, though, if you have a plan to return the growth. Another question is - do you think the growth is very important? Or it's "just important"? Or maybe, not important at all?

    Thanks again and good luck!

Thanks, after hitting a rougher patch as well in February, I needed this.

Hmm, is this MRR through the same number of days? Or not on the normal monthly view?

Thanks for posting this here! I love your newsletter, esp. that brain dump a week-ish ago where you broke down each section of growth your app has experienced!

As someone building a video app and wanting to eventually build an API, your story is really inspirational, and it was really fun to play with BannerBear's video overlay stuff :)

Thanks again for showing the lows and highs of app dev and marketing.

Hmm that's interesting! Thanks for sharing Jon! I think it makes sense not to make any changes to the site/product.

Have you noticed a decrease in number of trials and/or website traffic over the last few weeks? That's where I would look first if/when this type of thing happens to Plausible.
