After doing more user interviews, we've decided to build an end to end revenue automation platform

We started off gater.dev wanting to build a simple to use entitlement management tool.

But after conducting a lot more user interviews with both solo founders and venture backed teams, we realized that most teams conflate billing with entitlement.

Rather than fighting the trend, we decided to embrace the trend instead.

So this week, we've started working on new features that turn gater into a full-stack, end to end revenue automation platform:

1) Billing ✅ (subscription logic, invoicing done for you at a fraction the cost of Stripe Billing)

2) Entitlements ✅ (complex usage based entitlement logic, done for you)

3) Sales tax & VAT ✅ (tracking, registration, tax calculation, filing, ALL done for you)
