PolyPal is an AI live translation solution. It is committed to making the world more connected by addressing the inefficiencies and high costs of cross-language communication. We hope to bring about meaningful change in how people connect and interact. But after several years development, we are still lost in finding product-market-fit. What do you suggest?
I've learned that finding PMF often means narrowing your focus first rather than trying to solve everything for everyone from the get-go. Here's what worked for me:
Get more specific: Instead of "making the world more connected," pick ONE specific use case where translation failure is costly. You can broaden your focus once you got PMF for a given market.
Follow the Money: Look for situations where translation errors directly impact revenue or costs. These customers will pay for a solution that works.
Validate with Real Users: I spent 3 months talking to potential customers before writing a single line of code for my dev tools startup. The insights were invaluable.
Thanks Christian, your words mean a lot to us. That's 100% correct for us to find a niche market and target users.
The question is whether it can address scenarios involving communication with foreigners, and if so, should it be integrated with hardware?
It's an independent app, it solves the 1 versus 1 or 1 versus many scenarios, like twitch live stream subtitling, webinar and lecture live translations.
This is a great product! very convenient live translation. The best translation one I’ve seen this far!
thanks a lot! That means a lot!

Just focus on paying customers and if customers are not willing to pay for it, then pivot to something else.
Happy to connect if you are looking for ideas.
