A few months ago, I started reading postpartum discussions on Reddit.
I wasn't looking for startup ideas.
I just wanted to understand what new mothers actually struggled with.
One thing kept showing up over and over again.
Most apps focused on pregnancy or the baby.
Very few focused on the mother's recovery after birth.
That became the idea behind MatraBloom.
Over the last few months, I built it as a solo founder using Flutter, Firebase, and RevenueCat. Along the way I learned far more than just writing code.
Some lessons that surprised me:
Building the product was easier than understanding real user problems.
Google Play review and ASO took almost as much effort as development.
Reading hundreds of real user stories was more valuable than guessing features.
Launching is just the beginning. Now the real work starts—listening to users and improving every week.
Today, MatraBloom is finally live on Google Play.
I'm not expecting overnight success. My goal right now is simple:
Talk to users.
Fix what isn't working.
Ship improvements quickly.
If you've launched a consumer app before, I'd love to know:
What surprised you the most after launch?
Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matrabloom.app&pcampaignid=web_share
You found the original problem through hundreds of other people's stories, which makes the post-launch stage especially interesting.
Now that MatraBloom is live, what are you most uncertain about that you want actual user behavior to answer?
