Eight years ago, I worked on a project called Ready Reply. The idea was to automatically suggest a reply to customer emails using a knowledge base. But I had to stop because the answers weren't good enough.
Recently, I got inspired by ChatGPT. It was time to continue my previous idea again, so I wanted to make an MVP. I have been developing for 22 years (still as a side project, but I want to become a full-time entrepreneur). So I studied the world of vector databases and LLM models, working hard and pulling several all-nighters 😴
I learned from the past and wanted to start selling as soon as possible. That worked. I actually sold it once before the product was finished! My tactic was simple, email a few folks I know well. Starting with my own network.
After that, I created a minimum viable product (MVP) and launched it on Twitter. With just one tweet, I already have three paying customers and 40 signups. Although the revenue is only $87, it's still a great achievement and I am super proud of it.
It's a great start, and I wanted to share this with all of you. Never give up on your dreams, and keep on trying 😍
I'm excited about the future. I'll keep improving my product, InboxGPT.ai, making it better and more useful. Some parts, like onboarding, still need manual work. I'll focus on fixing that. I also want to expand to more platforms, not just Gmail. For example, I want to support WhatsApp.
Nice result! Can you show us the tweet?
That's the spirit! Keep it up :)
Awesome to see you get back @ your baby! :D
Congratulations!
Congratulations, that's got to feel good.
