Airchat - AirPods Messenger (beta)

Hi Hackers!

I always find myself spending too much time typing when chatting with friends and family. I can put it simpler as a way to talk to people when you are busy (like voicemails do). An example of an app that does this for video is Marco Polo (where you create videos that

Hi bro, first of all I did not expect this much quality if feedback, I’m overwhelmed and its truly awesome. I appreciate it!

Why for busy people? Simply put, we all want to do more in less time. You are right about increasing the potential. Saving time by listening to messages and replying to them in the background is great, but there needs to be more value add features, at about 10x the existing solution, for Airchat to stand out.

These cumulative 10x features certainly would be great with voice filters, voice overs and several others. Imagine your bitmoji avatar in full 3d speaking your message while walking around and exhibiting the facial expressions and body language adapting, and adapting your tone of voice and pattern of conversation.

In terms of the competition, taking Whatsapp/iMessage on would be extremely distracting and calling it difficult would be an understatement.

You have no idea how your insight has been helpful. And could you let me know more about what you mean by people being “....mad craving for something as fresh as your app...” It’ll be awesome!

      Feel free to Airchat me

      I appreciate it!

Yes undeniably you make a gigantic point about the monotonous nature of Instagram and our constant need for variability in the way we get entertained. The media houses, meme cabals, marketers, ecommerce brands have taken control with a firmer hold than we’ve seen before. The Algos have found a powerful formula to still keep reeling us back regardless of our feeble push back to delete their apps. I myself I’m on my 5th attempt at deleting the Instagram app (may be I’ll make it to 2 weeks this time without my friends asking me if I’m seeing their meme forwards).

With this, its natural for us to seek true relationships in the internet wild, thats why we have found (may be temporarily) solace in Youtubers like PewDiePie that speak the truth while ridiculing our social internet journeys by themselves expressing ‘the meme’ that our digital lives have become. We seek this truth because they speak directly at us while we reach out for more.

But more is still not enough and we seek out more strangers to connect and find the truth in. That’s why when we live through the fallacy that is Tinder we return to finding more value life add ons of what bumble is trying to become. And when we don’t connect with that we opt into the floury of anonymous friend making apps, where we’re momentarily true to with new people but weak in keeping that connection. All this would not be needed if most embraced Reddit imho.

But alas, there’s something that happens when we stay quite and listen to others. It’s like reading a book, we’re focused, engaged and have no other choice but to understand. We not only hear each other but we see each other through the sounds and expressions and mannersims of our voice. It’s much harder to fake but easier to engage with. Not only can we stay close with those close to us, but we listen to new people and for once judge them by the value add of their stories.

I truly appreciate it. You have no idea how inspiring this is. It would be a missed opportunity not to get in contact and (air)chat more.

My twitter and email are on my profile. Today, tomorrow, next year, it would suck not to be in contact
