AlgoFi Deposits, Redemptions and Withdrawals: How the Process Works

When you use AlgoFi, it is important to understand that depositing funds, allocating them to a strategy, redeeming an active strategy allocation and withdrawing Available Balance are four different actions.

The simplest way to understand the flow is: Deposit → Strategy Allocation → Strategy Redemption → Available Balance → Wallet Withdrawal.

The seven-day period you may see on AlgoFi applies to the current strategy redemption process. It does not mean every wallet withdrawal takes seven days. Once a strategy redemption is completed, the redeemed funds move to Available Balance. Eligible Available Balance can then be submitted for withdrawal to your external wallet.

The AlgoFi Fund Flow at a Glance

  1. Connect a supported Web3 wallet.

  2. Deposit USDT using the BEP-20 network (BNB Smart Chain) through the AlgoFi deposit flow.

  3. Choose an available strategy and risk level.

  4. Allocate funds to the strategy.

  5. We manage the allocated funds within the AlgoFi trading environment.

  6. When you want to exit, submit a strategy redemption or exit request.

  7. The current seven-day cooling/redemption period applies.

  8. After the redemption is completed, the funds move to Available Balance.

  9. Submit eligible Available Balance for withdrawal to your external wallet.

  10. Wallet transfer completion depends on processing, checks and blockchain conditions.

What Is an AlgoFi Deposit?

A deposit is the transfer of USDT into AlgoFi through the BEP-20 network on BNB Smart Chain. You initiate the transfer from your supported external Web3 wallet to the deposit address provided by AlgoFi.

AlgoFi currently accepts USDT BEP-20 only. Before confirming a deposit, make sure the asset is USDT, the selected network is BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain), and the destination address matches the deposit address shown on AlgoFi. Do not send USDT through another network to an AlgoFi BEP-20 deposit address.

A deposit is not the same as a strategy allocation. Deposited funds must be allocated to an available strategy before they become part of that active strategy allocation.

What Is a Strategy Allocation?

A strategy allocation happens when you assign funds to one of our available AlgoFi strategies and select an available risk level.

Once you allocate those funds, they enter our managed trading environment. We manage the allocated capital for the purpose of operating the selected strategy. The funds are therefore no longer continuously held under your exclusive self-custody in your external wallet.

This is why leaving an active strategy requires a redemption process rather than an immediate transfer from the strategy directly to your external wallet.

What Is an AlgoFi Strategy Redemption?

A strategy redemption is your request to exit an active AlgoFi strategy allocation. It is the process that moves capital out of the managed strategy before it can become Available Balance.

Under our current operating process, a seven-day cooling/redemption period applies when you exit an active strategy. This seven-day period relates specifically to strategy redemption; it should not be confused with the separate wallet-withdrawal stage.

Why Is Strategy Redemption Different From Wallet Withdrawal?

Funds in an active strategy are being managed as part of that strategy. Exiting the strategy is therefore a different operational action from transferring funds that are already in Available Balance to an external wallet.

We use the terms separately because they describe different stages of your funds:

  • Strategy redemption: exiting an active strategy allocation.

  • Available Balance: funds that have completed the relevant redemption process and are available for the next eligible action.

  • Wallet withdrawal: requesting transfer of eligible Available Balance to your external wallet.

What Happens During AlgoFi's Seven-Day Cooling Period?

After you submit a request to exit an active strategy, the request enters our current seven-day cooling/redemption period. During this stage, the request is being processed as an exit from the strategy allocation.

Your funds do not automatically arrive in your external wallet when you first request the strategy exit. The redemption process must complete first. After completion, the redeemed amount moves to Available Balance.

The confirmed process is simple: the current seven-day period applies to strategy redemption, and completed redemption funds then move to Available Balance.

What Is Available Balance on AlgoFi?

Available Balance is the balance from which eligible funds can be submitted for withdrawal to your external wallet. It is different from capital that remains allocated to an active strategy.

If funds are still allocated to a strategy, you first need to complete the strategy redemption process. If the funds have completed redemption and appear as Available Balance, they are at the next stage of the withdrawal journey.

How Do I Withdraw Available Balance to My Wallet?

Once funds are in Available Balance and eligible for withdrawal, you can submit a wallet withdrawal request to your connected or designated external wallet.

Wallet-transfer completion can depend on our checks and processing as well as blockchain conditions. Confirmation times and network fees can vary. For that reason, we do not describe every wallet withdrawal as guaranteed to arrive within a fixed number of minutes.

How Long Does an AlgoFi Withdrawal Take?

The answer depends on which stage you mean. If your funds are still allocated to an active strategy, the current strategy exit process includes a seven-day cooling/redemption period. Once that redemption completes, the funds move to Available Balance.

After funds become eligible Available Balance, you can request the wallet withdrawal. The completion time for that transfer can vary depending on processing, checks and blockchain/network conditions.

So, the most accurate answer is: the seven-day period applies to the strategy redemption stage, not automatically to every wallet withdrawal.

Why Isn't My Strategy Exit Already in My Wallet?

If you have requested an exit from an active strategy, you have started a strategy redemption. That request does not immediately send the allocated funds to your external wallet.

The current redemption period must first complete. The redeemed funds then move to Available Balance. From there, an eligible wallet withdrawal can be requested. This distinction is one of the most important parts of the AlgoFi fund flow.

Common Withdrawal Misunderstandings

"All AlgoFi withdrawals take seven days."

Not exactly. The current seven-day cooling period applies to an active strategy redemption. Wallet withdrawal from eligible Available Balance is a separate stage.

"I clicked withdraw on my strategy, so the funds should already be in my wallet."

A request from an active strategy starts the strategy-exit/redemption process. The funds first complete redemption and move to Available Balance before an eligible wallet withdrawal can be requested.

"Because I connected my wallet, allocated funds are still sitting in that wallet."

Your external wallet remains under your control, but funds allocated to an AlgoFi strategy enter our managed trading environment. They are not continuously held under your exclusive self-custody while allocated.

How to Avoid Deposit and Withdrawal Mistakes

  • Use only the assets and networks currently supported by AlgoFi.

  • Verify the wallet address and network before confirming a blockchain transfer.

  • Know whether your funds are still in an active strategy or already in Available Balance.

  • Treat strategy redemption and wallet withdrawal as separate processes.

  • Review the redemption status or date shown by AlgoFi where available.

  • Never share your wallet seed phrase or private key with anyone. We will never ask you for them.

Key Takeaways

  • Deposit, strategy allocation, redemption and wallet withdrawal are separate stages.

  • Funds allocated to a strategy enter our managed trading environment.

  • A seven-day cooling/redemption period currently applies to exiting an active strategy.

  • Completed redemption funds move to Available Balance.

  • Eligible Available Balance can then be submitted for wallet withdrawal.

  • Wallet-transfer timing can vary because of processing, checks and blockchain conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I withdraw from AlgoFi?

If your funds are allocated to an active strategy, first submit a strategy redemption or exit request. The current seven-day cooling/redemption period applies. After completion, the funds move to Available Balance, from which you can request an eligible wallet withdrawal.

How long does an AlgoFi withdrawal take?

If you are exiting an active strategy, the current redemption process includes a seven-day cooling period. After funds reach Available Balance, wallet-transfer completion can vary based on processing, checks and blockchain conditions.

Why does AlgoFi have a seven-day cooling period?

Under our current operating process, a seven-day cooling/redemption period applies to strategy exits. It is part of the strategy-redemption stage rather than the subsequent wallet-withdrawal stage.

What happens during the AlgoFi cooling period?

Your request is being processed as an exit from the active strategy allocation. After the redemption is completed, the redeemed amount moves to Available Balance.

What happens after the seven-day redemption period?

Once the strategy redemption is completed, the redeemed funds move to Available Balance. You can then request an eligible wallet withdrawal.

What is AlgoFi Available Balance?

Available Balance is the balance from which eligible funds can be submitted for withdrawal to your external wallet. It is separate from capital still allocated to an active strategy.

Why is my strategy withdrawal not in my wallet yet?

A strategy exit is a redemption rather than an immediate wallet transfer. The redemption must complete first, after which the funds move to Available Balance and can be submitted for eligible wallet withdrawal.

Is strategy redemption the same as wallet withdrawal?

No. Strategy redemption exits an active strategy allocation. Wallet withdrawal transfers eligible Available Balance to an external wallet.

Can an AlgoFi wallet withdrawal be delayed?

Transfer timing can vary because processing, platform checks, blockchain confirmations, network conditions and fees can affect completion.

Where do my funds go after strategy redemption?

After a completed redemption, the funds move to Available Balance. From there, eligible funds can be submitted for withdrawal to your connected or designated external wallet.
