All-In-One Telegram Bot: From Simple Idea To Advanced Telegram Bot For Monitoring Your Web Apps And More!

Hi there!

I’ve been working on a little project that I’m excited to share with you. 🎉

A few days ago, I woke up to find that one of my web apps had 0 visitors. I've checked also for the day before and it was the same thing. Then without thinking, I went to check the url directly to find out it was down. And of course, I was the last to know. 😅

To be honest, it happened many times. But, this time, I decided I didn’t want to be in that position again, so I started looking for a solution to monitor my web apps and alert me when something goes wrong.

There are already plenty of monitoring services out there. I could just pick one of them and get back to my work and have my problem solved.
But.. NO! I'm an indie hacker!
And being a "full-stack-web-dev-solopreneur-indie-hacker", I wanted to challenge myself and cook my own solution with my own gradients.
So, I’ve created a simple yet effective Telegram Bot that monitors all my web apps and notifies me when they go down or come back up.

I’ve been developing this with a straightforward setup: a Telegram Bot as client for managing and notifications, a worker in the backend using Cloudflare, and a Turso database.
I’ve even added more and more features than initially planned, just like what any "normal indie hacker" would do. 😅

It is now open for public and I’m looking for beta testers. Your feedback will be invaluable in refining this tool. If you’re interested in trying it out or have any suggestions for improvement, please reach out here or DM on X/Twitter https://x.com/FBNKCMaster!

I called it "DownUpMonitorBot". You can check it here: https://t.me/DownUpMonitorBot

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Great! That's what I'm looking for!
Just something simple like "just watch that damn url!" haha
I'm gonna test it right now.

    1. 1

      Yeah, that was the idea!
I hope you'll find it useful.
Looking forward to read your feedback :)

How is it different from the others?
Aren't you kind of reinventing the wheel?
I mean... wish you good luck!

      You said it: "the others".
That means why not an other one? Isn't it always beneficial to have additional alternatives?

Just give it a try and tell me what you really think.

By the way, which one do you use?

      Thank you :)

      1. 2

        Ok, alright.
Will bookmark your tool for later use.

        1. 1

          Great!
You tell me then what do you :)

      2. 2

Don't worry about naysayers, hope it works out well for you!

        1. 3

Yes, it's working well just like what I wanted.
It's a solution tailored for me and I hope it will be useful for others too.
          So, no worries for now.

Thank you Martin for your support :)

Take it easy guys. No offense here.
I was just asking asking normal questions.
          That's all.

  3. 2

    Sorry, I don't have a Telegram account.
But I like the idea. Looks promising.
    Good luck!

      Ok.
Thank you for your support :)
