The vehicle itself is impressive. It can carry 3ish pound payloads at 70 mph in a 6-mile range. However I also don't like the prospect of city skies being full of noisy drones. We'll see ...

I literally shuddered at the prospect of high-pitched, whiney delivery drones blanketing the skies. I live in the suburbs, and it's impossible to go outside without hearing people using their leaf blowers. It's terrible. Surely the future doesn't hold such horror as delivery drones like swarms of locusts??? 😰

Yeah, that would suck. I do wonder if that's the reason they have added wings and forward facing propellers i.e.so that once they're at whatever their cruising height is they can rely on the wing's aerofoil and just a few motors to generate lift rather than like 20 motors.

Good point. They do mention how they're much quieter. Still, I could totally see these getting shot down in the outskirts of Dallas 😂

This is pretty wild to see. I'm excited by this technology but it's also it's a bit scary to think of what it could become if delivery continues to grow as it is. I appreciate convenience but not at the expense of privacy and safety.

What do you think about this type of tech and service?

Here's a video of it in action:
