Already getting valuable feedback from just two building in public posts

In my second Youtube video I showed the sprites for my indie game, and a few viewers left suggestions to re-import my sprites with the “Filter” option off. And just like that, my pixel art sprites went from a blurry mess:

to clear and crisp:

I always heard that one of the benefits of building in public is you get valuable feedback from the community, but I didn’t expect it to happen so fast. Awesome.

Speaking of building in public, I posted a third devlog! I went over how I wrote AStar from scratch in GDScript. If you’re interested, you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/8x0n10M6Y40

Subscribed immediately after the John Carmack reference! haha

I really enjoyed the cadence of the video. I feel like 14 mins is definitely on the longer end for me to consume in one go, but also really appreciate a devlog that caters to technical viewers -- I think most of them do the opposite, although I'd be curious to see how that affects (for better or for worse) your channel growth over time.

    Keep it up!

Thanks! I have been wondering about the depth of technicality vs. just discussing my thoughts on game design. I'll be able to play with the balance of the two once I have the core of the game built.
