Am I off to a good start or should I quit?

Hey all,

Quick update on my startup journey. A couple of months ago, I started working on a language exchange platform with two dev co-founders. We kept it lean and launched a simple landing page to validate the idea, aiming for 100 signups before going live.

So far we’ve got 72 signups, all from free channels like Reddit and Indie Hackers. Some people are already reaching out, asking when we’ll launch, which is a good sign. The product is ready, and we’re keeping premium features and AI tools for later.

Now I’m wondering — should we launch now and grow from there, or keep pushing to hit 100 signups first?

Also thinking about applying to Y Combinator after launch, though I’m new to funding. We were accepted to Web Summit Lisbon this year with a $1,000 booth offer but passed for now.

Would love any thoughts or feedback.
