    Hiya @aazarshad,

Massive congratulations on your success and thanks for doing the AMA over here on IH as not all of us are on Twitter. I have a few questions based on your thread:

    1. You mention finding an advocate/ partner who has your back, whilst I totally get the value of having one. What are you supposed to offer the advocate/partner in return if you're just starting out? So may not have an audience to return the favour. I'm thinking your product/services for free/reduced rate, but just wondering if you knew of anything else?

    2. Since deciding to start my business consultancy since Summer I've collected over 210+ leads - Ready for me to start contacting once I've finished my website- Its nearly done, just need to do SEO, T&C, plus a bit of polish. However, I was wondering how do you offer an audit/teardown without offending a prospective client? For example there's a local eco friendly/homeware shop in my area and I'd love to redo their website for them. However, don't want to offend the owners as they probably spent a fair amount of time in squarespace working on their branding & website. So is it best for me to do a branding/website audit for them then present it? Or is it best to reach out asking if they want the audit in the first place?

    3. Lastly, how do you figure out what keywords to use for social listening? Is it a case of checking out the keywords your competitors are ranking for? And plugging those into a tool like mention?

    Thanks in advance :)

P.S Sorry for the lengthy questions, but it's not every day you get to ask questions to a business owner making 7 figures :D

      Hi @Janiah,

      Don't worry - great questions.

1/ Sure, you might not have an audience to return a favor. But you do have 1) your experience 2) radically good product/service 3) your efforts - For Converkit, it took them 2-3 years to get the partners they needed to work. They didn't give up. Find creative ways to add value to them. You'll get their attention.

I work for Synthesis.is now, and these folks so damn wanted to work with us. Their work is quality and worked with big guns already but we ignored them. After so many good follow-ups, he made this video and eventually got the business: https://twitter.com/henrybelcaster/status/1450515075001880582?s=21

Here's how you do the relationship-building - look at Shaan VP's thread in mine: https://twitter.com/Aazarshad/status/1440707780084584463

2/ Just do the audit and say you have already done it. And, show it to them. Educate them on the problem, not your solution. Tell the benefits, why it would work if they fix X many stuff on their website.

I would also say, offer audit to 210 leads of yours for free. Don't offer your business yet. Start a conversation.

3/ Yes, competitor keywords, your business services related keyword and in the tool like mention, brand 24, Awario or any other.

Thanks very much for the quick reply. Sorry I'm only just getting back to you. Had a very busy Sunday

        1. I'll be sure to read the partnership building thread. Thanks for sign posting.

        2. As for the audits I'm thinking to either do that. OR offer them a part of my product for free. Product I'm working on alongside my consultancy is notion templates (Already had good feedback from fellow entrepreneurs) And after reading a post earlier about launching dummy/ mini products on PH - Before doing your main product. I think it could be good to offer either an audit or some pages from my template depending on customer need.

        3. Point noted.

Thanks again for all your advice :D
