America's most powerful CEOs met privately to plan a response to Trump’s election denial

I’ve been thinking about it for years - how long is it until one of the corporations starts a country or some digital version of one? Apple for instance has a parallel service (arguable) for almost any government controlled service.

Passport/ID = Apple ID
Finance = Apple Pay/Card
Healthcare = increased health monitoring on our devices Etc etc.

It’s not impossible to imagine that the future of unchecked capitalism creates its own home and you start hearing of ‘Apple citizens’.

We don't know who all the execs are, since they attended the meeting under the condition of anonymity, but…

…in an interview with CNBC, [Jeffrey Sonnenfeld] identified Disney Executive Chairman Robert Iger, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman and Johnson & Johnson CEO Alex Gorsky as attending.

Their overall feelings about the situation?

“They’re all fine with [Trump] taking an appeal to the court, to a judicial process. They didn’t want to deny him that. But that doesn’t stop the transition,” said Sonnenfeld. “They said if that makes people feel better, it doesn’t hurt anything to let that grind through.”

He spoke with six or seven CEOs on Wednesday who said that if there were “seditious riots” at Trump rallies or more mass firings like Trump’s ouster of Defense Secretary Mark Esper and other Pentagon officials, they want to reconvene to talk about acting faster as individuals.

What will the execs do if worse comes to worst?

Action could include threats to stop donations to political action committees or even corporate relocations, Sonnenfeld said… The CEOs weren’t worried about reprisals against their businesses but emphasized acting together. They referred to a Benjamin Franklin quote at the signing of the Declaration of Independence: “Yes, we must, indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall all hang separately.”

Nice to see the "wise ones" allow the full electoral process to play out fully as if they had a say in the matter.

On Saturday Biden was declared the election winner by The Associated Press and other news organizations.

1. The election is not over.
2. The mainstream media does not have the power to declare the next President.
3. There are ongoing election fraud investigations across multiple states.
