An Indie Hacker community limited to people with $5k+ MRR

I want to organize an online community for IndieHackers with at least $5k MRR. I expect a lot of backlash on this post, but hear me out... Growing a business from 5k MRR to 50k MRR is a vastly different challenge than getting your first 5 customers. I've noticed that chatting to other IndieHackers that are at a similar stage in their journey is far more valuable than brainstorming ideas with people that are still trying to get a first MVP out of the door.

So here's what I'm proposing:
A monthly online meetup for IndieHackers with at least $5k MRR. Additionally a Slack/Discord community where people can talk about what they are currently doing to grow their business to 1M ARR. The community would only accept your application if you've verified your MRR through Stripe. By doing so I'm hoping to grow a network of successful Indie Hackers that help each other grow to $1M ARR.

Open to suggestions/thoughts and curious to hear what people think.

I have actually created this, but for SaaS founders over $20k MRR: www.SaaSfriends.com

    It currently has 240 members

I've found being part of a smaller group that are at a similar stage is super valuable. The same goes for stages like >$1M, >$10M ARR etc.

Also groups with no self promotion rules are less noisy as people aren't selling to you all the time.

A 5k MRR indie can help a newbie indie with their experience. That can be simply done with a link to an article/tool etc. It can only happen if all of them co-exist in the same ecosystem like this.
Instead of a community, a group here on IH can always be formed.
    My 2 cents. 🙏

I don't have 5k MRR, but I think it's a good idea. I agree that maybe different "tiers" of revenue could be useful for folks within that tier. Maybe they get "read only" access to the other tiers though?

We are over $5K MRR, but do not use Stripe since our deals are paid by ACH. How do you confirm the $5K in this instance?

This guy is a genius. He creates the problem and his own project is the solution. Marketing MVP. Nice bro! 😂

Thats a good question. I guess we could come up with other ways to confirm the revenue. Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, I do! Use www.truerev.com to validate! :) That's our solution which tracks MRR/ARR.

Would be helpful. Looking to join a group as you described.
