An update on my info product launch - $26.9k sales, a bit of burnout, planning forward.

Last October I launched my info product - Swipe. The launch generated $9k in sales, and subsequently a bit more. You can find a full launch write-up here in case you'd like to replicate what I did. After the initial launch, I left the product on autopilot and have not done much marketing other than a second email deal with Dru at trends.vc. That email generated the 2nd biggest push in sales. In the following months, the traffic has died down (as expected) and I averaged between $1500-$500/mo in sales.

Following the better-than-expected launch of Swipe Convert, I decided to create another file for e-commerce. It took me some time to get a list going and I finally announced the pre-sale. I think having had some success with Convert, some of that energy trickled down into the e-commerce file. I pre-sold $1,000 worth of the e-com file (better than expected).

Unlike the first launch, a bit of burnout set in and I decided to take a break and work on client projects. I then shifted all of my energy into setting up a community for startup founders looking to constantly ship. The "Swipe Pro" community was born and I seeded it with initial customers of the swipe file. Turns out, this was not the best idea 🤦‍♂️. Many of my customers were confused about why they are joining a community, and many just didn't participate.

Nonetheless, I pushed forward with the community and was able to get more people to join. Some started finding it organically (probably through the swipe file). We are in week 16 now. It's a small community but it generates a bit of money which I reinvest into gifts.

Yesterday I finally finished updating the e-com file. It's not perfect, but I figured better ship something than wait another 2 weeks to fill it full of examples that may not even be necessary. This week I decided to finally launch the e-com file on PH and settled on Wednesday night as the time.

In total, the products have generated about $27k in sales. Not a grand amount, but not bad for a side project which had a lot of in-between downtime. My goal now is to launch e-com and Swipe Growth (another unfinished file), for a total of 3 info products. Meanwhile, I will continue working on the community and figuring out what's next.

Oh, I did try FB ads for a very short period for the Swipe convert file but did not generate any sales. I also expected the 3 files to be finished much sooner, but I've been without energy for the longest time and finally feeling like I have it in me to launch and get the ball rolling again.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to help with anything!

Hey @genemachine - congratulations on a successful info product! I didn't realize you had a airtable based info product (+ a community). Thanks for writing, it was good to learn the original story!
