Analytics 5 days after launch

Hi!
I launched https://www.indiehacker.tools/ last week and I want to ask for your advice.

But first some context

I did 3 things to promote it:

I DMed 10-15 indie hackers on Twitter
Tweeted a few times
Posted here once

The results were:

39 indie creators listed their tools
44 tools total

As far as engagement goes:

252 unique visitors
2.8k page views
7.9k clicks

IMO this is great traffic, but it's my first time launching an app so I don't have something to compare to.

My question is, how do I keep the traffic steady, or event better, improve it?

So far I have 3 ideas:

Write blog articles about things relevant for indie hackers
List the website in other directory websites
Post on other platforms.

Yay or nay?

Thanks for listing briefalert.io . I'm still working on it, but the more eyes the better.

I would say that what you want is to retain users. Otherwise getting users it's going to be an infinite treadmill.

In order to retain users there's only one rule:
More value = More retention

    Ok, some feedback/suggestions, take with a grain of salt:
    
    It's a bit unorganized, so far it's small, but if the number of tools were to grow, it would become rather messy. Maybe likes would be nice, but try to keep discoverability of emerging tools high (I think it's your main selling point)
    
    Measure which path users follow that end in more clicks to tools, do that more, less of the rest. Country segregation seems unlikely, categories seems more likely.
    
    Very likely it's already happening, but i would make sure headers are being set correctly so that tool owners know how much traffic they get from you
    
    I would also measure retention if you can, so you know when you are improving

Thanks for listing Kody Tools. Just be active on twitter and starting writing article. Share website on other places if you can such as directory. These 3 things are enough to give you that required boost.

The 3 ideas mentioned look solid, maybe you could interview a few indie hackers, maybe review the tools listed and rank them or give them some kind of rating like IMDb.
