Android Distribution Chart

I made a chart that shows each Android version's distribution on the market.

I kept trying to figure out which Android version to support for my apps on every new project. There used to be a nice distribution chart made by Google but they removed it a while back. Because of that, I made my own. Data is taken from Google's servers.

PS: If you are looking a fairly modern version of Android to work with, I would recommend Android 8.0 (Oreo). You can work with modern APIs and you have 90% access to the play store market.

It is important to be aware of your target audience as this % might not be representative of your customer's supported OS.
