Would love some feedback on the new website!

In such a crowded space, I think success comes from either

    1. narrow targeting on a specific market, so people see your page and think, "Hey, that's me! This is designed for me."

    2. Building a following around yourself as an expert, so they're buying "you" as their fitness guru and the App is just the vehicle.

Personally, I'm not a buyer since I do my exercise outside the gym context (running, walking, swimming, yardwork, activities with my kids).

      Makes sense thanks a lot!

I am in your target market; I workout, willing to pay for an app, and have big concerns about sitting too much and my posture.

    Here's a sample mockup https://imgur.com/a/ljVnuhA

    Here are my personal concerns/suggestions:

    Niche down
You've started to niche down, but you still include "optimal strength training". This is confusing as a buyer.

I want a simple routine for this, not to base my entire weight-lifting routine around it (I already have one of those).

"Optimal strength training" should be a separate app imo.

This also means you can be more direct about the name; add something about sitting or posture correction in the name of your app.

    Consider your user constraints
I would want to do these exercises at home (i.e. i see a cable pull exercise in the preview, I don't have that at home).

Make the plan bodyweight only, or have a body-weight only option

    Dramatize it
offer 2 programs, i.e. "morning stretch" and "evening cool-down" (gives the illusion of more value/choice) while also letting the user visualize themselves do these stretches in the morning or evening -- now it's becoming something I can see myself doing.

    Show, don't tell
Instead of saying it's "backed by science", show an exercise video on the landing page where you describe why that exercise is included, what it's doing to the body and how it's helping solve this problem of sitting too much.

    Focus on results
Get a few people to try the app and to take before and after photos of their posture / sitting.

Just as a personal opinion, the color scheme is a little aggressive.
    ---

In addition, now that you're a posture fixing app, you can do things like notify your users to go for a walk or to get up if they're sitting too long, show them optimal sitting posture and other value-added items around having great posture or not sitting too long, reviews of standing desks (w/ affiliate links), and expanding around that niche.

This also gives you more content to drive people to your landing page, and to stay there for a little bit, maybe even something you could use to get their email addresses.

Thanks a lot for the thoughts. Very helpful!

Maybe a bug, but the App Store links are not working for me (both). If I click on them nothing happens 🤷‍♂️

    Hi!

Good job, landing page is clear and nice looking :)

    Few notes from me:

    1. On the "GET A COMPLETE PROGRAM" mobile screen, that button named "START Workout" looks really weird and unintuitive on the top of the screen. You can think about UX of that interface :p
    2. Is you app only create plans or it is adjusting based on what you actually did? For example when i had 30 pushups to do, i only managed to do 15 and plan for next day will be 35 or maybe 20? Will that adjust?
    3. Is timer builtin in the app?
    4. 7days trial - have you thought on 'limited features' on longer free version?

Wish you good luck, if i wouldn't have personal trainer i would give it a try :)

Hey thanks for the thoughts! I will make those things clear!

There will be as many applications as there is demand for them.

I like it, more than good enough as a starting point.

It is one of the most recurring lessons on Indie Hackers, but it still took me a long time to understand it. If you look through each podcast episode and search for "competit" (for competitor, competition, competitive), you'll hear Wes Bos, Nathan Barry, Todd Garland, and others talk about the advantages of tackling a problem that already has solutions.

    • Some text in the page is using a font that I find a bit small to read comfortably. For example these lines:

Your program will work all muscle groups while making sure you get the right amount of recovery time based on what the science says.

    Nice work! 💪🏽
