Another Linkedin idea? Any advice?
Hi folks, I, myself am a software engineer. While working on job searching, I am tired of getting spams and cold emails from recruiters or other agencies. What I really want to have is direct connection with hiring engineering team.
I'm thinking if there is such a platform, where candidates can upload their profiles, hiring team can also submit new job listings, we as a platform can help screen qualified candidates and get them matched with hiring team directly. This can save both parties time and make hiring faster.
How do you think this idea? And what part do you think is the most difficult one to tackle? Thanks!
That would indeed be useful. But I think hired.com and triplebyte.com also do something adjacent to that.
The most difficult part in that is expanding to multiple geographies. Even the websites I mentioned focus on specific geographies. Take a look at those. All the best.
That's true. Both of them are focusing on software engineer industry. The reason why they haven't expanded to other geographies is because too much money in the tech industry.

Software salary is high, commission of each placement for recruiter is high, that's why hired and TB are focusing on tech industry right now.

Cool concept. Check out Toptal.com for something a little similar, but different.
I think Toptal is mostly for contractors job, it's on-demand based while I want to focus on full-time job. But thanks for bring that up.
