I just had a Venture Studio pass on investing on my idea. I was waiting and waiting for them to get back to me, I lost a bit of time not marketing or paying attention to my app. I knew not to give too much stock to the opportunity, but I took a break and now I am at a near complete stop. I need to rethink my whole strategy and now it feels like starting a stopped train ( I lost inertia) . How many of you made the same mistake I did?
I've never looked for investors, but I have done things that killed inertia. It's tough and it can be really hard to get back again. One thing that has helped me is to pick something about my app that I want to work on and not necessarily what I think is most important. That helps me restore momentum so that I can work on the important things again.
Yeah. I need to find it. Thanks for reading
I've never really understood sacrificing time and resources to seek funding instead of building and marketing the product.
What's stopping you from bootstrapping?
Its already bootstrap. I have a thin MVP, I am live, but I lost some time waiting on venture studio. I waited to ensure I didn't want mix any signals or use money to market that could have been part of the deal. I am now at a stop and need to pickup up from where left off.
I try to remind myself of why I am building what I am building. A motivation which is hopefully not money. That usually gets me going.
Thats good advice. My mission statement is in my head, but its not on front and center anywhere else. I see people posting in Facebook comments related my product, but I can't convince them to use it. I was hoping for the help. Back to the drawing board.
You could try printing it and hanging it onto your wall. :)
Good luck with your business, Manuel!
