My project is completely stuck.
I am emotionally unable to move on from what should be a simple issue. I am angry and frustrated that the langugage / framework that should support what I want just doesn't.
none of the examples I find work. I had to take a weekend off because I was so frustrated and burned out on this. I spent three hours after working all day and I am even angrier than I was when I reached my burnout "I can't do this anymore" point.
I want to use javascript. Everything is forcing me to use typescript except... there is no reason to use it. Except people say "use it because you need it" it becomes a cylical reasoning chain with no actual explanation.
I wish next.js didn't let people make sites with straight javascript. it seems unfair and cruel to let people down a path that will ultimately blow up in their faces. Why not just admit you don't support javascript? What am I missing here?
I'm super, super fucking angry because I am over a month past when I wanted to launch my project and I'm still stuck on something that's maybe not even that important? I don't know but I am losing time, don't have the ability to focus and I just seem to be doing the foot gun thing over and over instead of actually making progress.
it makes me want to give up. fuck everything. fuck typescript in particular.
