Here's a link to my website, Legacy: https://www.legacytheapp.com/
Last week I posted about trying different validation tests to gauge interest and traction.
To that end, I spun up a landing page that our venture is going to post to different forums and websites (where our target audience tends to hang out). The goal is to see how many impressions and signups we get (to determine if we should start building or do further refinement).
Mainly looking for help regarding these points...
Is it clear what the product is and what it does?
--> if not, what part of the site was most confusing?
Can you see the value in the product easily?
If you signed up? Why? If you didn't signup, why?
Thank you!
Here's a link to my website, again, so you don't have to scroll to the top: https://www.legacytheapp.com/
Might want to think more about the benefits of an end of life plan, than the plan itself. Financial security for your Family. or something like when you're gone, let them remember you, not your debt.
How your site looks now it looks like a lot of work. it doesn't seem helpful to me but rather a laundry list of things to do. it doesn't actually look like this will put my mind at ease as I drift into dust. In fact starting a new checklist and adding up all my assets might just give me a heart attack that will be the death of me, itself.
Hi Jameson, interested in chatting with you about this product. Got any contact info?
Hi! Shoot me an email at getlegacyapp@gmail.com and we can chat :)
with gpt4 a lot of people have been talking about this stuff. as a potential user I don't get the need to be honest. there's no urgency from a user perspective with something like this. people feel like they'll live forever until they're older. an older person right now will most likely use a lawyer or use a traditional method to do this. in the future everyone who is internet native that understands that you can do it online will do it via AI on their own. I would target some other aspect of legal zooms business like entity formation.
The product is clear. But not convincing enough. I mean to say the core product is clear the value proposition wasn't. Hence, this was also the reason why I didn't feel like signing up too. I feel the ideal target audience will be middle aged people who are more receptive to the message than the young ones.
I was thinking more about jurisdiction. From a customers point of view how do you tailor it by location? Is this usa centric?
"Legacy is an end-of-life planning application. We listen to your needs, craft a custom plan and documents, and guide you through each step so you can spend less time worrying, and more time living."
Is it an app or is it custom? Unsure here if I'm getting a wizard to help me figure everything out of if this is just a top-of-funnel tool to connect me with the Legacy crew to get my i's crossed and t's sorted before I kick the can.
Zooming out, me 10 years ago wouldn't have cared about this because depending on your age, you feel varying levels of invincible. Why does it matter to me? There's room to make this compelling for even someone in their 20s. "Random accident on that trip you took with your friends to Bali? Don't leave Mom picking up the pieces.. take care of her and everyone else you love with Legacy."
Love the name.
