Any advice on estimating Cost Per Aquisition

Hi IH community.
We are growing and planning to become investor ready. We are doing our homework and have data on and offline.
I’m looking for some advice from those of you whom have successfully/ or unsuccessfully gone for funding for an app and weren’t just guessing your marketing budget especially at the tight end of the funnel.

    Hi Craig,

    I've taken a few rounds of investor funding in the past. Happy to help but I need a bit more background information...

    Firstly, is your current challenge:

    1. Estimating your current CPA (eg you're acquiring customers now but have trouble working out what the 'real' CPA is)?
    2. Planning what your CPA over the next few weeks/months should be (eg for cash flow/burn rate purposes)?
    3. Coming up with a top down and bottom up CPA which is both plausible and sounds attractive to potential investors?

    Also, can you give a bit more background on how you're acquiring customers, what your ideal customer looks like, and whether you already have customers?
