Any cons for Hashnode as a newsletter?

I currently use a self-hosted Ghost newsletter. But I was recently introduced to Hashnode. Any reasons not to migrate there?

My personal main concern is that I don't know what their monetization strategy is.

Just like with Ghost (I'm currently setting up a new newsletter through it, yet will be using Sendy for the actual sending of the mailings), my main concern is the control of the sending domain.

    With Hashnode:

Your emails originate from [email protected]. Each email's reply-to points to your Hashnode email address so that your subscribers can reply if they like.

Even with Ghost, although it will be your domain, the chances of ending up in Spam is increased because of the way it is constructed.

Control over the domain and deliverability is key.

Thing to consider though: Hashnode might (for you) be the perfect community to scale to a certain number of readers. After 1000 or 5000 readers, you can always make the alternative step.

Curious to learn what opinion others have! @fazlerocks @sandeep ??

Is that the sending domain even if I plug in a custom domain?

Hmmmm diving further into this and find this (from Ghost).

I'm back to the drawing board. 🙃
