Any experience with asking for donations on a site?

I am considering adding a donations button on the https://mindfuldevmag.com (btw issue #4 is out) and was thinking on how to best approach that.

Has any experience and maybe success with it?

For the technical side, should I use ko-fi, buy me a coffee or Patreon? Where's the least friction for supporters?

      Thanks for your feedback. Yeah, I noticed the complaints about Patreon too and thus I am not eager to join them. I went with "buy me a coffee" for one project and will see how it goes.

      btw for which project did you try the donation model?
