any experience with PayPro Global?

I was wondering if anyone here has been using PayPro Global and can say a few words about their experience. I am asking because I am looking for Merchant of Records and I've noticed there are quite a few negative reviews here: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/payproglobal.com?stars=1
Quite a few issues don't seem to be their fault, yet I would really appreciate reading about any experiences IHs had made.

Most B2B reviews are collected on G2. Hope it will be helpful :)

I applied to open an account with them 2 weeks ago but no one got back to me. I guess this is an indication of their seller support and a red flag.

We are very sorry that you had such an impression of us. We always stay in touch with our partners in any suitable way (i.e. email, Skype, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.) to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Right now we are integrating an online chat for our sales team, so pretty soon everyone will be able to get answers in a matter of seconds!

But would you be so kind to provide the email address you used and we'll make sure to follow up and see what may have gone wrong.

Thanks for your comment. We always had quite short reply times. However, that also is somewhat necessary, as the documentation is very sparse and there often are features that are not documented anywhere. We often had to ask for those features. In the end we found that there were too many technical limitations for a subscription based service. Like the process if a customer needs to update their payment details is quite awkward.

I see. So you wouldn't recommend them? I used to work with Paddle but they can no longer provide service to my business and I have to switch to a different provider. I'm left with Fastspring and PayPro as they handle the tax compliance issues.

We haven't been using paypro in production. Otherwise I think it depends on what your needs are. Basic payment popup is not much of an issue. Support was good as far as I can tell. They've even been assisting with customising the templates. What's your issue with paddle? I've just finished integrating their api.

Hey, I would really love to know what has been the cause of your issues with paddle. Could you please add some details?

Hey! They suddenly decided that they can’t support our business even though they approved us 3 years back. We had $21k MRR and we lost all the subscribers as we didn’t have enough time to migrate them.

Geez. That sounds horrible. On the first call with paypro they told me a similar story about paddle including twitter or facebook screenshots. However, when the story went public, they decided to revert that decision. At some point I began to suspect that to be some sort marketing hoax. Sorry that this happened to you as well.

Yea it really sucks to have to start all over again but hey, every business has it’s ups and downs.

I would say if you are 100% sure that Paddle would never have any issues with your business, they’re a great MOR payment gateway. Otherwise stay away from them.

I’ve switched to Chargebee + Authorize.net + merchant account. Great thing about Chargebee is that if Authorize.net decides to close our account, we can connect another payment gateway to Chargebee and prevent losing subscribers.

Thank a lot for sharing. That combination really sounds interesting. I'll stay with Paddle for now, though - at least until we reach a reasonable revenue.

I guess the issue is how can one be sure if Paddle will not have issues with ones business? Were you dealing with a lot of high risk transactions? I wonder though: If you have the email addresses of your customers, you could mail them about the issue and require them to provide their card details again after the current billing period has ended?

Yea, we ended up emailing all our customers and we are getting back most of them fortunately.
