Any GIS people out there? Need feedback on early ArcGIS Collector/Fulcrum competitor

Taking a tip from the latest podcast, I thought I'd see if anyone here works in GIS or knows someone who does.

I'm looking for people who need to do mapping with mobile data collection. This often means biologists, academics, government planners, power companies, etc. Any situation where you have people out in the field who need to send data to a server that a manager can map, QA, and make reports from.

I've built custom solutions for NOAA and the State of Alaska before, but I'm trying to build a platform that fits a wide variety of use cases.

If you or anyone you know has experience with ArcGIS Collector, other ESRI products, Fulcrum, GIS Cloud, etc. and would be willing to try some early, buggy prototypes -- that would be awesome.

Or maybe you have shied away from these tools for some reason, or currently use paper and pencil forms to collect data (canvassers, permitters, etc.). I'd love to talk to you you about your needs as well.
