Any good web designer willing to help me out this weekend to build a small website widget?
I am trying to build a small widget over this weekend. I am a hackish kind of a web-designer and so I thought of taking help from someone good with CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript.
Just a tip, it will help you later when it comes to selling whatever it is you build: provide and focus on the value of whatever it is you're trying to get someone to do.
As it stands, I don't see how anyone would want to provide their time to help you on your project. Are you providing money? If not, and that's fine, how do you plan to return the good will to the person that helps you?
Answer that question and focus on it when making any type of request.
I am ok with providing money. I just don't want to hire a freelancer but wanted to use a designer with entrepreneurial mindset.
Sure, I get that - This is a community and it works best when there is a balanced amount of give and take from everyone. Heck, if you woulda said "I'll buy you a beer next time you're in my neck of the woods" or something to that affect, I think it would have been perceived a lot better.

I'd suggest starting with the best. Find a few open-source widgets on GitHub, glance through the code, and figure out which one looks like you can handle. Gut it and use the skeleton.
Bonus: it will come with all the auxiliary tools ready to go. Webpack config, Gulp/Grunt, SCSS/LESS processor, Typescript, etc.
