I've been working on a website related to homebrewing, to try out some new technologies and with the goal to hopefully use it for my own brewing needs. The idea is quite simple for now - have a public database of the ingredients - hops, grains and yeast, and for signed up users there is an option to create recipes and keep the inventory of the ingredients. It's still heavily WIP but I was wondering if this is smth that could be useful to anyone else and maybe there's a potential to turn it into a product at some point.
I'm sorry, but I don't think this is the best idea if you want to make a productive business out of it. Unfortunately, there is the internet and various forums where people can find all the information they need about beer, its ingredients and recipes. I found all the information about making beer at home I needed on the internet. I have been making beer myself for a year now, have tried many recipes, and my friends appreciate my talent. I now save money on buying beer, and everyone enjoys spending time at my house; I love big parties. Even though the process is enjoyable, I always question whether it will taste good. So, as you can see, the free sites on the Internet have helped me a lot.
hmm, an interesting idea actually
