Any ideas for a climate change SaaS?

Hi, we want to make a SaaS for water management & climate change. Do you have any problems - and ideas for this? What can we do? Thanks!

MY first indie hacking project as a sustainability app. I really enjoy working on it. Try finding communities around the topic and you will eventually find problems to solve

When I was working on a product to help more people to get into composting, I contacted the local colleges and universities and spoke with their "sustainability department" - not sure if my experience was unique or not, but the professors and staff I spoke to were very eager to talk about all sorts of environmental challenges. Their insights were very valuable.

We don't know your background but take a look at project developed by engineering schools and their laboratories. There are even schools specialized in this area (in France we have the Ense3 in Grenoble which is quite prestigious). People there would probably be the users of such an application or help developing them.

Meeting others in the space is helpful. I went to a few great events in London recently, People Planet Pints, then also London Climate Connection. Rooms full of people working on 100 different angles on solving this problem as well as biodiversity and other environmental goodness.

My idea is to focus my paid ads agency exclusively on positive impact brands. I went with what I was good at and just am trying to use that skill to scale the ideas that help with this problem.

It's always hard to find a SaaS idea if you only have a topic.
I usually try to find a specific problem, that people really want to be solved and solve it - that's a good SaaS / startup idea.

Sure, you can say climate change needs to be solved. But that's too big to be targeted by one SaaS.

Thanks for your reply, yeah we are looking for a specific problem too. Thanks again!

Singapore is huge on desalination and always looking to turn rivers into reservoirs because we have a limited water supply.
You might have a market there.
