Any Product Hunt tips for a first timer?

Hi everyone I’m launching a mobile productivity app in the next couple of weeks and was thinking to put it on product hunt. I watched some YouTube vids but a lot of them were quite old and I’m not sure if they are relevant.

A couple of questions:
-does the day of the week matter?
-is it work trying to get someone popular to hunt your product?
-is it ok to launch on product hunt a couple of weeks after the App/Play store launch?

Any other tips would be welcome!
