Any ski resort hackers?
I was wondering if anyone else is spending the winter near a ski resort or similar.
I'm living near Ylläs resort in Finnish Lapland for 5 months doing contracting work and making sitebot.ai. Living here in a cottage is cheaper than in a city and season pass is relatively cheap. My main activities are snowboarding in the pistes and off with a kite.

How cheap is the cottage, Hannu?
€700 per month including utilities, the cottage is a bit dated and it's 10 minute drive away from lifts. There are not many long term rentals so you have to be early.
living near good ski resorts is definitely not cheap in USA. some people airBnB their houses during the season. Houses go for 500 dollars for friday checkin and sunday checkout on average. 500 dollars is a month rent for a room in somewhat expensive areas and a studie apartment in cheap areas.
Some owners want long-term occupants instead of dealing with new ones weekly, you need to be lucky to find them. Depends on the area too of course.

I did a similar thing last winter in Verbier, Switzerland. Was an amazing experience!
