Has anyone had any success with promoted tweets? If so, do you have any tips? Is it best to promote it immediately after tweeting? Or will it still work a day or two later?
Based on Twitter's estimates, I can get an estimated reach of 1.3K - 3.2K people for $50/day, which seems relatively cheap compared to other advertising options.
We are running a Twitter Ads campaign. I believe the reach depends on your targeting setting. We created a productivity tool for software developers so our targeting is very specific (with keywords and followers of specific accounts). But I believe you can reach a bit more for $50/day.
Twitter does not bring us many conversions but good website traffic.
Tried that before. There was lots of traffic, but not that much actual conversions. Very low CPC (~$0.05), but I would say it's only worthwhile if you want to get many visitors to
your website.
Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping for more than just traffic. It would be ideal to get sign ups, even if they don't upgrade from the free account.
I'm also curious to see if it results in any additional Twitter followers. I'm going to try it for a day and see what happens.
Just keep in mind that you might need more than one day to see substantial results. I'd reach out to creative strategists on Twitter and hear what they have to say. If your content is interesting and resonates, you should be successful. But even to ensure that you would need to A/B test different promotions.
Hi Kevin,
I've done some promoted tweets in the past: https://twitter.com/CinematicStApp
(see the video ones)
Not sure what's your niche, but I think for the budget, if done right, you can probably get 10-20x that.
You will need to tweak pretty much everything in the ads campaign -- usually the defaults are to benefit twitter, not you.
To focus on: target bid, locations, keywords, follower look alikes, interests.
Hi John, Thanks for the details. With promoted tweets, it looks like I only have control over location, age range, and gender. I'll take a look at Twitter ads too.
I'm going to try promoting a tweet for a day and I'll share my results.
Oh my, please disregard my initial message :)
I thought you meant - promoting tweets (twitter advertising). I have used promoted tweets at some point, but found them very cumbersome to use.
