I'm looking for a good platform to build a services marketplace with and came across some tutorials and templates of Stripe powered marketplaces using bubble.
It looks pretty awesome, but I'm a little hesitant about jumping in and using it as a long term solution to build a business on.
Anyone know of successful businesses using bubble?
Are there any cons I should be aware of before signing into building?
There are plenty of successful businesses and plenty of cons. I’ve been using the platform since 2015 and, depending on use case, it’s the first place I turn.
Performance can be something to watch out for, not because Bubble is “slow” but because it’s easy to build poorly performing apps. In that regard, it’s similar to coding a product: many ways to achieve a goal, some are better than others.
Pricing may also be an issue for some. It feels fair to me as they fully host and manage everything for me, but I understand why more tech savvy users want to manage their own infrastructure. Also, exporting code to run on your own stack is not an option
Dividend is a fintech company based on bubble (for their website) and reportedly make $1 Billion in revenue. I know it's unreal but saw it on the This Week In Startups Podcast Ep1021. Check it out.
Going to listen to this pod.
One important thing to consider. Dividend aren't marking $1 Billion just because it's built on Bubble. They also know who their customers are and how to reach and convert them
NuCode by Joe is built by Bubble exclusively as I know
