Hey,
We're looking to switch from Mailchimp for our marketing/onboarding and other communication and while looking at the alternatives it seems that most are just waaaay too expensive, either clunky, slow and have really bad UX.
Is there something that is well suited for SAAS and doesn't cost $200+.
What we're looking for is:
Any ideas, maybe there's a tool that we overlooked and everybody uses.
We've also been exploring options on onboarding emails/drips etc. Been circling around for quite awhile on all the possible services to use here. From lots of research, boiled the options down to these being the best options for our SaaS:
But ultimately, we decided that we can use our existing ESP and Zapier setup to create our own flows. (This is also the easiest and most cost-effective):
Autopilot is great but becomes very expensive when you start building a large list - 100k+ users.
I've looked into Encharge, but didn't pay too much attention to it. Will revise now. What for autopilot, it's probably one of the best out there, but it gets very expensive once you have a bit more contacts.
Thank you
I noticed the Encharge guys are on here too -- cc'ing @kaloyankulov
Thanks for CC'ing us, Kevin!
Happy to talk, Sergiu. How big is your email list?
Hey Kaloy, we just passed 2K and it's steadily growing by around 100 every month.
Got it. With that rate, I wouldn't be too concerned with prices for 100k+ users :) Even if you 10x your growth, still pretty hard to get that big of an email list.
I'm happy to give you a 30% off as a fellow indie hacker, you can see our prices at encharge.io That's n $70/mo for up to 5k contacts. If that's ok with you I'd be happy to show you around the tool. We're very similar to Autopilot but focused on SaaS mostly - working on some advanced event features and such.
You can probably use DronaHQ (https://www.dronahq.com/). With its no-code platform, you can easily build workflow and able to integrate API and third parties using Zapier. It also provides the ability to scale your app according to your needs.
Does convertkit.com not meet your needs?

I always thought of it as for something e-commerce only, it appears they're not. Interesting. Thank you.

This seems interesting, not sure it will fit a classic onboarding/trigger-based email marketing scenario, but thanks.
