Any thoughts on selling illustrations?

I am previously a 2D game developer, and I enjoyed making 2D characters and illustrations of materials for the game. I already have quite some on my computer that I previously drawn which can come in many formet(jpeg, vector, etc), and I wanted to ask you guys about the idea of selling them online for other people who may be interested in something like that. Any thoughts?

It's a good idea. Consider checking out these two teams to inspire. They offer incredible assets:

Thank you for giving me the boost of confidence on this idea MustHaveSkill! The website you linked looks great. Would you mind if I asked you what portion of website you use the illustration for and how you found the website?

2020 trends is saturated with illustration web sites! There's a guy I use for a lot of "generic" concepts (https://undraw.co/illustrations) . I would think if you could find a way to "niche" out some scenarios, you can have a premium site up with income generated in no time! . Maybe host a similar set of generic concepts for free and then out your mainstream folders behind a pay wall or subscription. Hope this helps!
