Pay people to start relevant discussions? It's going to be super hard to grow an empty forum, first step would probably be to figure out how to fill it up with relevant content and discussions.

+1 to this. seeding the content is where you start. there's nothing more you can really do until you've done that.

Thanks! This step is already done..And there are already some first visitors... but maybe there is a faster way to get some traction.

Build up a personal network that are willing to support you and the community. This will help prime the community with content. It's not easy starting a community.

Great insight! We have some subscribers on the website already... I was waiting to grow the community a bit more before going into that step.

Good luck with this... Did you developed any strategy so far?

No, I just made this...I have no idea going forward...I am totally lost on how to get my first users...

I am thinking of making a twitter bot that retweets from popular tech based accounts..get some traffic through there ....

Launching on hacker news and product hunt would be nice...but I think it would be better if i get atleast 50 users before that..

If you are into growth strategies, I have a few case studies on Growthunt that might be of some help.
