Hello IH,
I'm working on education material and need to highlight / zoom in on a selected area. Specifically I'd like it to do this: https://youtu.be/jnfWy3h_BuY?t=62. Any suggestions?
Side note: I tried doing this in SnagIt (create videos from images) but it has problems screen capturing at 1920 X 1080.
Screenflow can do these kind of similar things.
Unfortunately no PC love. :(
I know this solution won't work for most people but here is how I accomplish something similar:
I have a 4k monitor and an Nvidia graphics card so I can record at a 3840 x 2160 resolution using GeForce Experience (comes with the Nvidia graphics driver). Then in post-production I set the scaling of the video to 200%, essentially zooming in on a 1920 x 1080 section of the screen.
Here is it in action on one of my videos: https://youtu.be/KwwHvH3GZsQ?t=209
Thanks. Which monitor did you end up getting? I've got an RTX 2070 in mine.
Monitor is an ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQ and the graphics card is a GTX 1070
Made some progress. I'm on a PC, so Camtasia looks to be the best for my needs thus far. Screenflow (which I believe the YouTube link above used when recording) looked great but it's only on a Mac.
Any OBS users out there? Curious to see if there are any ways to highlight / zoom in while recording using that program or something else.
This looks like it may work for OBS? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQZOkRgdn4I
Thanks, I'll have to try the zooming with hotkeys.
