anyone has experience how to reach out and get sales online with online SaaS applications in "old" industries like machine engineering?
Probably I can help. I have worked with a business that was manufacturing medical devices and had B2B clientele. What kind of Industry are you in?
hi headlock, I am building a 3d modeling tool for 3d configurators based on excel sheets. https://sheetbuild.com
I think engineers don't try out a lot of new tools themselves
What is your ideal customer profile?
mid size company who wants to create online configurators without investing tons of money in individual software development. e.g. a 50-100employe companie which manufactures/developes machine components or other technical components
The idea looks solid to me and I personally liked the machine design part. Do you also have any competitors? I mean is there any similar SaaS service?
I have no competitors. There is no comparable tool. My problem is to get the first users or that I get them on my app and play around with it.
Oh, understood. Personally, I liked what have you built. What I can notice on the website, is the lack of educational content for your end users. You may need to put out more content on the internet - YouTube, and Tiktok explaining the use case of your products. I would start by targeting teachers first and get their feedback on the products. You can also run social media ads to sign up for your product. Let me know if I can help with something.
ok thanks for your reply. I already planned short video tutorials (20videos 2-3min explaining different features). I can also add videos with the use cases. I am not sure about the teachers as target but I plan to get feedback from influencers in different fields. Running social media ads is of course easy but also expensive. Would you cooperate on a provision based contract?
Teachers are easy to start with and it will cost you less on advertising platforms plus you will get early feedback. But again, it is completely your call. I can contribute but since you are just starting up I will avoid diving deep into the hustle-bustle of contracts and everything :) We can always figure something out later.
