Wondering if anyone has any general benchmarks for conversion rates on waitlists? Appreciate they will vary by sector but anything anyone has would be a good start.
E.g. if I have 100 users on a waitlist for my product, how many on average will actually sign up when I launch?
Also, be good to know what benchmarks people might know about in terms of landing page to waitlist conversion (so average percentage of visitors that will sign up to the wait list).
Thanks!
Hey! Might not be the most relevant thing but one tip that I learned is that once the user signs up for your waitlist, it's important to provide value-added content and hit them with a drip campaign to keep developing the relationship with content! My conversaion rate right now is 5% on my website for email subs, and I'm looking forward to see how many on average will sign up as well haha.
Nice, thanks for the tip!
Hi @sanjayp
I posted my landing page with a "Sign up for Beta" link in December 2019 and got around 102 people to sign up for the waitlist. After I launched the Beta, I sent another email to those that signed up to download the TestFlight build of my app. Around 52 people actually signed up. You can expect that around 40-50% of the waitlisted users to actually sign up and that will help you determine your churn rate for those that don't.
That's how it was for my case at least.
Hope this helped!
It does, thanks!
Nothing general, but can share our data.
With our waitlist, our primary objective was to get them to do a video onboard, and about 5% signed up for that (we sent a series of 2-3 emails).
We then send a final email giving them the link to create an account and about 11% of those signed up.
Interesting, thanks!
