Hey everyone! I've curated the best youtube yoga videos on Youtube that are around 20 - 30 mins in length for anyone interested in being able to stop, drop and yoga.
I made this because I find that I tend to sit for long durations at the computer and wanted the lowest-friction way to fit some movement into the day. Basically the way it works is you open the app, it gives you a random 20-30 minute yoga video which you can instantly Chromecast to your tv (I find that I slightly prefer this as it most closely simulates a live studio experience but without the extra time + cost of actually going to a studio).
I'm curious if anyone would be interested in something like this, just wanted to get a show of hands to see if it would be worthwhile throwing it up into the app store. Thoughts or suggestions appreciated!
Cheers!
Hi! I've just started doing yoga every day this week using YouTube videos. I can see how it'd be useful to have it on a bigger screen using Chromecast. I don't know how much added value the app would provide because it's already easy to find yoga videos, create playlists and use Chromecast.
Thanks Alex! I was thinking of having it so you can get videos based on how much time you have, or what focus area you wanted. So there's some element of curation.
I could also add additional features (outside of videos) for yoga enthusiasts to increase the value prop - is there anything you can think of that might be useful to your practice?
I've personally searched for videos of a specific length and also based on level and the benefits I'm seeking (flexibility, strength etc.) So I think your idea of filters/lists is definitely an important one. You could have a store with links to yoga mats, foam rollers etc. Let me know if you go for it and I'll give my feedback :)
Hey Alex just curious if you have favorite instructors/videos? Would love if you can add to what I currently have, I'm collecting them here:

FYI here's the videos I have right now but plan to add more as I go https://airtable.com/shrUvH6cgf5fePymJ/tblpjz02R6nLJr5ov
I've been using videos from 'Adriene' as well as 'Tim Sinesi'. They seem to be among the best and most popular.
You do bring up a good point - I'm well aware of the fact all of this can be accomplished via the YouTube UI, but I wanted to make a cleaner slicker (ie less cluttered) way for people to access the same quality content.
The store idea is a good one, I can start with Amazon affiliates :) Thanks! And would def love your feedback. I can send over some screenshots of what I have ATM.
