Anyone interested in co-founding a freelance marketplace?

I am working on a freelance marketplace and would like to have a business co-founder. I am looking for someone that would focus on sales and marketing while I take care of the technical part.

    Hello Zack,

Can you describe your idea a little bit more? What problems do you see with current solutions like upwork.com and how are you gonna solve them?

    Thanks.

To me, I don't see any problem with Upwork because they tend to give paying clients VIP treatment and that is because without them there will be no Upwork

What else do you expect from a marketplace with millions of freelancers and few thousand clients?

As someone who has used Upwork to hire freelancers, I don't see any problem with the platform.

Have you heard/encountered/read any negative review about Upwork from clients? It has always been from freelancers.

How will your product be better than Upwork for clients? NOT FREELANCERS.

EDIT: Nice post ! can you also talk about Upwork as a client?

The only problem freelancers has is the ability to get gigs and make more money.

If your platform can provide gigs to millions of freelancers on a daily basis, then you have solved their problems. Else, you have not helped in anyway.

How are you going to solve that?

The point here is that you have been criticizing Upwork for not solving freelancers problem.

My question was; If you were Upwork, how will you solve 12 million freelancer's problem?

Note: There are few thousand employers on Upwork who posts thousands of jobs monthly.

I get you. There is many room for many more products.

How would you solve the issue of getting clients?

To get freelancers is pretty easy because everyone is looking for MONEY.

    Yes... Please do this!!

And make it so freelancers can mark their profile as "actively looking for work" so I can filter :).

Seems you have hired freelancers on Upwork in the past.

As a client, do you think there is any issue with the platform? Most of the negative reviews I have seen are from freelancers.

It is understandable because Upwork has millions of freelancers and a few thousand paying clients.

I might be wrong. Correct me if you think Upwork is not perfect for clients

I need one as well for Digital Marketplace https://unsold.design. Just don't have time running it. On another hand, I have a big network on Instagram and influence a lot of graphic designers who would be able to sell on the platform.

Agree with @antonkrasov - Need a few more details. Specific market? Price point? Any details you have would help.

Hello Zack, as a freelance software developer for over the years, I believe there is a niche market we can do better than the mainstream sites such as Upwork etc.

What niche do you have in mind?
