I'm working remotely as a software developer myself. I'm not looking for any new job at the moment but recently I got curious about what's out there. It's good to know about your market ;)
RemoteStack pulls data from a couple of sources (more will come) and allows you to browse or search jobs that might be interesting for you. Next in the pipeline is to add more job sources, email alerts and improve search.
I would like to hear your feedback about this web app and/or remote job hunt in general.

The site looks really good on desktop, but I have yet to check it on mobile. Simple and focused, which is great.
I've done some work as part of a remote-distributed team in the past was well as a remote contractor. There are pros/cons to it. I enjoy the fact that many of the companies are small enough that they aren't using ATS monstrosities; but, you can also wager that for good and really creative positions, they might be looking at 5000 CV's. Needle in the haystack syndrome.
Thanks for the feedback! How do you know it's RoR? :) I've used TailwindCSS and it makes really easy to built decent UI.
Yeah, it might be difficult to stand out as a candidate during the remote hiring process, there are always tons of applicants. On the other, the quality of most applications is really poor. At my current company, they are hiring couple of developers and it's not that easy to find good ones.
Isn't it RoR? :) Tailwind was founded about 15 minutes from where I live. The CEO is a really nice guy, but I haven't used it at all yet.
Do a lot of poor applications provide a stark contrast to the stellar candidates or do they just dilute the 'talent' pool?

Hmm, I think it's both things. When you browsing lots of poor applications, then the good one really stands out. But I'm afraid that sometimes those good ones could be hidden among all other applications.

I agree with you. Personality, chemistry and overall 'fit' is really crucial for team members and they can sometimes slip right through the cracks.
