Just wondering if anyone has tried selling premium courses online. If so, I'd love to hear about your experience.. what the course topic was, where you sold it, what the results were, etc. Or if anyone knows of any blog posts where people share their experience selling courses with transperency, I'd love to see it.
I did this with http://digitalstrategyschool.com - a program that helped web designer move into more of a digital strategist role with their clients.
There was a $4k 6-month mentorship version (that included 1:1 calls, and masterminds), and a $1k self study that came with access to a community. It did really well (pulled in $10-$15k/month for over a year), and it helped fund the creation of our SaaS ( http://doki.io ).
I am currently working with an instructional designer to revamp it, so I'm not selling it currently.
I learned so damn much from the experience... i should probably share it in a post of it's own! Happy to answer any Qs about it!
Wow @mariepoulin that's incredible! Mind sharing how you grew your following? Did you have a following already before launching? I'd love to see a post on that. Thanks!
i had been blogging for many years, as well as actively participating in facebook groups. The customer research I did for that program was the beginning of my list-building. I didn't have a list before I launched that program!
I suppose you could say I had a following, but it was mostly through social channels and my blog at the time.
Recently Egghead founder posted on IH. Apart from that you an also look up Wes Bos interview on IH. These two from top off my head right now.
